- Legal metrological control:
1. Only to meters (OIML R 137-1)
2. Only to some individual parts of the measuring system
3. To the complete measuring system
2. Only to some individual parts of the measuring system
3. To the complete measuring system
- Scope of application for gaseous fuel
1. with a designed maximum flowrate Qmax equal to
or greater than 100 m3/h at base conditions and
for operating pressures equal to or greater than
200 kpa absolute
2. not fitted with diaphragm gas meters
Measuring System and Its Constituents
or greater than 100 m3/h at base conditions and
for operating pressures equal to or greater than
200 kpa absolute
2. not fitted with diaphragm gas meters
Measuring System and Its Constituents
- Meter: Instrument intended to measure, memorize and display the volume or mass of gas passing through the flow measuring device at metering conditions (the display may be a remote indicating device)
- Flow Measuring Device: part of the meter that converts the volume or mass flow of the gas to be measured into signals for the calculator (including sensors and transducer)
- Sensor: element of a measuring instrument or measuring chain that is directly affected by the measurand
- Measuring Transducer: device that provides and output quantity having a determined relationship to the input quantity
- Ancillary Devices: repeating indicating device, printing device, memory device, totalizing indicating device, conversion device
- Additional Devices: filter, flow conditioner, branch or by pass line, valves, pressure reduction device, sampling systems, piping, etc.
